Welcome

I love making things. Fabric, yarn, fibre, paper, paint and print are my tools of choice. The necessities of life generally manage to get in the way of my need to create , so it all tends to get a bit erratic. Exactly as the blog title suggests.

Here is my attempt to organise things and keep a record of my efforts.

My little Folksy shop is taking a holiday for a while but I hope to re-open soon and sell things that I have made for the sheer pleasure, but are surplus to my needs.

I do love colour

.... but could I put in quiet word in the defence of grey?

Just to say that grey can means so many different shades and it is never dull.

other colours can shine in contrast to a grey backdrop

form and texture can be appreciated in grey.

I wonder if we are conditioned by our environment? These little images were taken on a walk in my little part of The Forest of Avon and the light does have a delicate quality in this part of the world.

Well that is my excuse for my struggle with the use of colour anyway!

I did make use of a rainy Saturday ( no not dull and grey) and made a bag for my Mum from some gorgeous vintage sample fabrics. So a big THANK YOU to Mady for the lovely big selection of fabrics!
