Welcome

I love making things. Fabric, yarn, fibre, paper, paint and print are my tools of choice. The necessities of life generally manage to get in the way of my need to create , so it all tends to get a bit erratic. Exactly as the blog title suggests.

Here is my attempt to organise things and keep a record of my efforts.

My little Folksy shop is taking a holiday for a while but I hope to re-open soon and sell things that I have made for the sheer pleasure, but are surplus to my needs.

Finished!

I had never tried anything in the world of crochet patterns, except Afghan Squares, until I attempted my Get Knitted Knatterers  buddy, Rachel's pattern called Juliana Wrap.  The pattern is available free on Ravelry.

The instructions were very clear and the wrap is FINISHED!

In the tradition of knitting blogs here are some photo's of my work languishing in my garden.


The Belle de Nuit flowers are still open even though it is nearly midday, as this is a shady part of my garden.




Now what shall I do?!!!!

To be fair, I have lots of things on the go, but there is always something of an "empty nest" feeling when a project is finished!

    Congratulations.
    I've just had a read of your last few posts back to July and really enjoyed them. I love your style. And I envy your garden. Its been so dull all summer up here that my sweet peas are at their best now! Well, of course, extremely battered by the winds we had earlier in the week.

    Thank you Jackie! I am a regular reader of yours and love your work. It was a funny old season as far as the gardens go and the photos are a bit selective! It looked like a desert at one point!
