Welcome

I love making things. Fabric, yarn, fibre, paper, paint and print are my tools of choice. The necessities of life generally manage to get in the way of my need to create , so it all tends to get a bit erratic. Exactly as the blog title suggests.

Here is my attempt to organise things and keep a record of my efforts.

My little Folksy shop is taking a holiday for a while but I hope to re-open soon and sell things that I have made for the sheer pleasure, but are surplus to my needs.

29 December 2010

A plan would be nice...

...in fact, an Eleven Point Plan would be neat.

Eleven new achievements.
Eleven virtuous moments.
Eleven fantastic projects.
Eleven things tidied away.
Eleven things to be grateful for.
Eleven dates remembered.
Eleven cycle rides.
Eleven days out.
Eleven books read.
Eleven tunes learnt.
Eleven arguments shelved.

However, since eleven is made of two number ones I think we will aim low and go for one positive thing every day.

That is next year's resolutions sorted then! It is going to be a great success.

In fact, that is 365 things and if I start now I will have a head start of 3!

Better put the kettle on and think of something positive then.

In the meantime, here are some place mats which I made rather loosely following the tutorials on The Pink Penguin's blog together with Tallgrass Prairie Studio. I have not done justice to either of the tutorials which are both excellent and I glossed over the "quilting" bit. It would have been too many lines and would have detracted from the design - my excuse.

HAPPY NEW YEAR  TO ONE AND ALL!
