Welcome

I love making things. Fabric, yarn, fibre, paper, paint and print are my tools of choice. The necessities of life generally manage to get in the way of my need to create , so it all tends to get a bit erratic. Exactly as the blog title suggests.

Here is my attempt to organise things and keep a record of my efforts.

My little Folksy shop is taking a holiday for a while but I hope to re-open soon and sell things that I have made for the sheer pleasure, but are surplus to my needs.

From design source....

 ... to yarn.

Thank goodness for the National Geographic Magazine,

 naturally dyed fleece,

and Bleu de Main sheep.

The particular fleece I am working with has beautiful shades of grey and a touch of black, so there is no need for design input from me or the National Geographic photographers, as the yarn creates its own colour scheme.

The skein nestling in a little patch of lung wort  and  the bobbin is trying to hide in the crocuses.

The flowers are a very welcome sight in my garden so early in the year.

  1. Lovely! Our garden is full off snow. It takes about two months until I have a chance to see crocuses...
