Welcome

I love making things. Fabric, yarn, fibre, paper, paint and print are my tools of choice. The necessities of life generally manage to get in the way of my need to create , so it all tends to get a bit erratic. Exactly as the blog title suggests.

Here is my attempt to organise things and keep a record of my efforts.

My little Folksy shop is taking a holiday for a while but I hope to re-open soon and sell things that I have made for the sheer pleasure, but are surplus to my needs.

A Little Harvest

At this time of year, a shower of rain can make a real difference.  It seems that you only have your back turned for a few moments and look what appears!

On the subject of harvests, I have finished ( unless I find it absolutely imperative to add handles) my "Homage to the Wheatsheaf Jumper" storage bag.

Pictured here obligingly storing an old Aran cardigan that lived a life of it's own whilst being created and grew too big for it's owner.

Here is the back view.

The photo shoot was bemusedly overseen by a rather cheerful face.

  1. Oh, you got ufo squashes! They taste so good. We had a couple of them last summer, but this year we have only summer squashes.

  2. We ate our first on yesterday. Really nice! Much better than courgettes. And it was only a cheap packet of supermarket seed. BARGAIN!
